Freedom to build with quality lumber that you’ve grown to love

art-direction

Saw wider. Cut deeper. Make a statement.

When the biggest jobs call, Norwood sawmills step up – because like you, Norwoods aren’t afraid of hard work, getting a little dirty and taking on the big jobs.

And Norwood just upped the ante again … Meet the all-new LumberMax® HD38.

The LumberMax HD38’s credentials start with what counts: the most industry-leading Sawyer-Assist® technologies. They’re teamed up with jaw-dropping capacity and outstanding innovations that let you take your milling operation to the next level – and beyond.

The HD38 tackles massive logs up to 38 inches (97 cm) in diameter. And its ultra-wide throat turns out mega-wide 35-inch slabs. Norwood's revolutionary patented Omega® sawhead on the HD38 lets you make super-deep, 14-inch cuts.  If you are a timber framer, or a sawyer who specializes in quarter-sawn lumber, this machine’s massive capacity combined with its Omega® deep-throat sawhead are real game changers.  Now, you can easily split massive beams such as 24” x 24” timber into four 12 by 12’s.

Another major innovation on the HD38 is Norwood’s patented 4-axis blade guides. Their next-level design supports the blade against deflection on the longitudinal axis as well as all three linear axes. What’s more, the revolutionary geometry of these guides allows for precise micro-adjustment on the longitudinal axis, versus the crude regulation you find with the old-school designs in the market.

As the biggest machine in our product lineup, the HD38 comes equipped standard with power up-down sawhead functionality, which makes it easy to operate for anyone.

The HD38 is built on Norwood’s new patented Duradeck log deck, featuring a ground-breaking new profile and construction method which, when combined with the benefits of roll-forming, delivers a log deck that’s built to handle extreme loads.

In keeping with Norwood’s signature customization capabilities, the HD38 accepts virtually all LumberPro HD36/HD36V2 optional attachments that you can either add now – or later. Add manual attachments, the muscle of hydraulics, or the convenience of power and setwork-enabled functionality.  You choose when and how you add them.

In manual or hydraulic configuration, the LumberMax HD38 is everything you’ve fantasized a sawmill should be. Impressive oversized cutting capacity combine with next-generation patented innovations, rugged carriage and log deck engineering, the most industry-leading Sawyer-Assist technologies and exceptional versatility. Together, they deliver a sawmill with unmatched output capabilities.

Isn’t it time you take command with the HD38?

Available for $11690 for a limited time, the Norwood LumberMax HD38 is scheduled to begin shipping in North America in May 2021.
